How to Write Cursive k
Stroke Instructions
Start at the baseline and make a tall stroke up to the top line. Loop to the left and come back down to the baseline, like the beginning of 'h' or 'b'. From the midpoint area, make a small loop that goes up and to the right (like a tiny bump near the midline), then angle down to the baseline with an exit stroke to the right.
Tips for Success
- The tricky part is the bump in the middle — keep it small and compact
- The tall loop should be narrow, matching your other tall letters
- Practice the bump separately to get the feel for it
- The exit stroke should angle smoothly to the next letter
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Making the middle bump too large or angular
- The tall part being inconsistent with other tall letters
- Losing the flow by pausing at the middle section
