How to Write Cursive g
Stroke Instructions
Start just below the midline. Make a counter-clockwise circle similar to the cursive 'a', touching both the midline and baseline. From the right side of the circle, bring the stroke straight down below the baseline, then loop back up to the left, crossing through the downstroke near the baseline, and finish with an exit stroke to the right.
Tips for Success
- Think of it as a cursive 'a' with a descender loop
- The circle part stays between the midline and baseline
- The descender should drop a consistent distance below the baseline
- The loop crossing should happen right at the baseline
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Making the circle too small or irregular
- The descender loop being too tight or too wide
- Not crossing back through at the baseline level
