How to Write Cursive Capital A
Stroke Instructions
Start at the baseline. Make a large upward curve to the left that reaches the top line, then loop to the right and come down to the baseline at an angle. From the baseline, curve up and to the right to create the exit stroke that connects to the next letter.
Tips for Success
- The opening curve should be smooth and reach the full top line
- The downstroke creates the right side of the letter
- The exit stroke from the baseline connects to the next letter
- Capital A in cursive looks quite different from print A
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Not reaching the top line with the initial curve
- Making the letter too narrow or too wide
- Forgetting the connecting exit stroke
