How to Write Cursive v
Stroke Instructions
Start at the baseline with an upward stroke to the midline. Angle down to the baseline creating a V-shape with a pointed bottom. From the point, come back up to the midline and finish with an exit stroke curving to the right.
Tips for Success
- The bottom should be pointed, not rounded like 'u'
- The point distinguishes 'v' from 'u'
- Both sides should be roughly equal in angle
- The exit stroke goes from the midline to connect to the next letter
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Rounding the bottom (that makes it a 'u')
- The sides being different angles
- Not bringing the second stroke back up to the midline
