How to Write Cursive d
Stroke Instructions
Start just below the midline, similar to a cursive 'a'. Make a counter-clockwise circle touching the midline and baseline. Instead of stopping after the circle, continue the stroke upward all the way to the top line, then retrace back down to the baseline and finish with an exit stroke to the right.
Tips for Success
- Think of it as a cursive 'a' with a tall stick
- The circle part should look just like a cursive 'a'
- The tall stroke should reach the top line
- Keep the tall stroke straight, not curved
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Making the circle portion too small or too large
- Not bringing the tall stroke all the way to the top line
- Making the letter lean too far forward or backward
