How to Write Cursive Capital U
Stroke Instructions
Start near the top line. Curve downward and to the right, sweeping around at the baseline to create a large U-shape. Come back up to the top line on the right side. From the top, come back down to the baseline with a straight or slightly curved stroke, ending with an exit stroke to the right.
Tips for Success
- The U-shape should be large and smooth
- Both sides should reach the top line
- The bottom curve should be rounded, not pointed
- The exit stroke creates the connection to the next letter
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- The U being too narrow
- The bottom being angular instead of curved
- The two sides being different heights
